Harrington Racer Jacket 2022: Pre Order

Size & Fit Guide

Our customers rave about our fit, check out the reviews.

FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and action. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut.

HOW TO FIT YOURSELF

Size by your actual body measurements, not copying your size in another brand. Fit can vary wildly between brands and their size may not be ours.

HEIGHT: This is the easy one – measure yourself from the top of your head to your heel. (Sometimes easier to do against a wall we find.)

CHEST: To find out your chest size, take a tape measure and wrap it under your armpits at the fullest part of your chest.

ARM: Measure from the shoulder seam to the bony bit on your wrist (yes, that is the biological term).

measurement guide

Next, compare your measurements with our size chart below to see which Frahm jacket is right for you. Our jumpers are also sized in the same way.

size chart

If you can't measure your chest circumference, the best guide to size is your best fitting existing jacket or suit jacket. Then Live Chat us and we can advise what your size is.

"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso. Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit.

If you have shorter arms, we will happily have your sleeves altered for you when possible (most of the time it is). Please Live Chat or email us to discuss.

Nick's Design Notes

I've designed more Harringtons than any other jacket style. I'm obsessed by tweaking their simple, totally classic aesthetic with performance. I wanted a sleek, more masculine and utility version for FRAHM. This style is well suited to cycling, mopeds & motorcycling, so I used motorsport to influence a tougher, stripped down harrington that hides it's performance.

We’ve innovated an all time British Mod-style classic, the Harrington Jacket. It is subtly modernised to make it harder wearing, more comfortable for active movement, totally washable, with a hell of a lot of performance and versatility for something so good looking.

Constructed from machine washable waxed fabric, it will gradually develop a worn look, as with all waxed jackets, but without any reduction in performance or the oily inconvenience of old school waxed fabrics.

The fit is 'real world'. Not unrealistically tight, not loose, just right. The sleek Jet Exhaust vent sits between the shoulder that have extra space built in, for cycling or chin-ups. The arms are longer, for real-world movement.

Weather range from 6c (room for layering) to 20c, wind, showers or persistent light rain.

Great fit, great look

This was my first Frahm jacket. It's now one of two, with two more on order - so I clearly like it. A lot.

This jacket fits so well. I'm 6' 2" and quite broad and find that many jackets are either too long in the body or the arms are too short or they are too tight when done up. The XL size feels practically made to measure.

I don't think I've ever been asked about a jacket so much. Everyone seems to really like it.

It keeps the wind out and is perfect for cool summer evenings. It's also most definitely shower proof.

Mine is red, and it's a lovely shade. Looks good in a semi-smart setting or just for sitting outside the tent on a warmish summer evening. I would buy a lined one if you consider doing such a thing, though with a jumper or sweatshirt underneath it still fits just fine.

Also washes very well - the first time I wore it, the dog knocked over a half of very sticky, strong, imperial stout - right down my sleeve. For the most part, the beer just ran off, but it was a bit sticky. Quick wash at 30º and it's good as new.

The only negative is that if you buy one you are going to end up buying more - guaranteed.

Very Cool

A managed to grab my jacket in pewter. It’s very cool. I’d say it falls into the smart casual class of jackets. I wore it out last night with a smart shirt and jeans. Today, It’s a T-shirt and trainers. This thing oozes understated class, and I feel like buying another one as well. Think I’m starting a collection.

Harrington jacket

My second jacket from these fantastic producers of fantastic products. Really high quality and an excellent fit. Will buy more. Also it’s great to support small businesses.

Absolutely love it!

I’ve had the jacket for a good few weeks now. I plumped for the Navy Blue and I have to admit it is every bit as good as I hoped for.
I think I’ve found a reason to wear it every single day since it arrived. The fit is good. There’s enough room in the pockets to fit a phone, keys and a wallet without it making me look like I I’ve been bingeing on the biscuits and.
I love the scalloped sleeves, they give that added bit of protection and warmth.
Well done to Nick and the team at Frahm! The support for MIND is an added benefit.
Now I just need to decide between the Parka and the Ventile Field Jacket and maybe add in a Moleskin Workers Jacket.
