Our customers rave about our fit, check out the reviews.

FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and action. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut.

Size by your actual body measurements, not copying your size in another brand. Fit can vary wildly between brands and their size may not be ours.

If you can't measure your chest circumference, the best guide to size is your best fitting existing jacket or suit jacket. Then Live Chat us and we can advise what your size is. We are experienced fitters.

"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso. Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit.

If you have shorter arms, we will happily have your sleeves altered for you when possible (most of the time it is). Please Live Chat or email us to discuss.

If you have any questions please do Live Chat or email us on hello@frahmjacket.com

Nick's Design Notes: This was my first FRAHM design. I wanted to launch with the most versatile jacket possible - that jacket you always grab off the rack. I wanted to create a tough yet stylish and versatile jacket for everything from dashing between meetings in rain showers through to dog trekking from a hilltop pub. I'm very proud of it.

We’ve innovated a British military classic, the waxed field jacket. It’s subtly modernised to make it comfortable for active movement, washable, odourless, breathable, with loads of storage, for versatility and minimal fuss.

There is a LOT of detail here, from the carefully thought-through reinforced pockets, right down to the intricate herringbone care label.

READ DETAILED FIELD JACKET BLOG

Constructed from machine washable waxed fabric, it will gradually develop a worn look, as with all waxed jackets, but without any reduction in performance or the oily inconvenience of old school waxed fabrics.

The fit is ‘tailored athletic’. Not unrealistically tight, not loose, just right. The vented shoulders have extra space built in and the arms are longer, for real-world movement.

Weather range are 2c (room for a thick jumper) to 18c, in high winds or rain showers.

Colour Notes:

  • Navy comes with pale blue herringbone lining in 2021
  • Khaki with cream/black herringbone lining
  • Oxblood Red with dark blue herringbone lining (phoarrgh)
  • Black with cream/black herringbone lining

Technical Notes:

  • British Millerain machine washable waxed cotton fabric is surprisingly lightweight, as it isn't laden with sticky wax like old style waxed jackets
  • Breathable, shower and rain proof, but not fully waterproof
  • High, jawline stiffened collar with microfleece lining
  • Cut for activity, with extra room in shoulders
  • Articulation pleats  in shoulders and elbows
  • Twin rear shoulder vents
  • Internal YKK zipped chest pocket and internal book pocket
  • 4 front pockets, secured by indestructible stainless steel snaps from Italy
  • Fleece lined hand pockets behind front cargo pockets
  • Scalloped, reinforced cuffs
  • Twin needle stitching throughout
  • Herringbone grey pure cotton lining is fast drying & odour resistant
  • Embroidered care info is sewn inside, no flappy care labels
  • Machine washable, does not need reproofing

£10 from each jacket sold will be donated to Mind mental health charity.

      Almost a poacher's jacket!

Now Spring is here I've been wearing it a lot. However, I think that for the over 80s, like me, we need to have blank labels on the pockets; there are so many! I get lost trying to find things. So if we could write on individual pockets, such as "Spare false teeth" "glasses for reading", glasses for driving"" Those bits of paper I know are useful but can't remember what they are for" etc But apart from regular searches to find things, it is really good to have those pockets as I am a pocket hoarder to the extent that my friend bought me a man's handbag; no need for that now. I mentioned poacher's pockets because they are so deep, lovely!, that a rabbit might just be concealed, certainly edible hamsters.
I found the jacket a bit stiff but it is a field jacket. does it become more supple after washing?
All in all, I am very glad to have one, it is very useful, and smart so it greatly impressed my friend who was despairing of the rags hanging off me.

      Amazing Jacket

I was a little uncertain about buying this jacket over the Internet. However the team were fantastic at advising me. The quality and detailing are excellent and it will last me for many years I am sure. The only thing to say is that I am an XL in most other brands however I needed XXL in this brand as the fit is slightly snug. A great product overall. Thank you!

      Great Jacket, Great Service .

I have held off writing a review as I wanted to use the jacket in different conditions. The reviews are spot on. Great fit, works well in all conditions, regulates temperature, it’s fast becoming my go to jacket. When I first used it the zip and buttons were a little stiff but after a few wears it loosened up. On top of the great product I also received excellent service from the Frahm team. Izzy responded to my questions immediately and nothing seemed too much trouble. Great product and already considering future purchases. Thanks guys 👏. Btw I received a post office “scam” text requesting payment for delivery. Ignore, it’s a scam, Frahm provide free delivery.

      Original Utility Field Jacket 2020

Like a lot of people have already said I was slightly nervous about buying a jacket online for a fair sum without the chance to try it on. However I need not have been concerned, the fit is exactly what I was looking for. Clearly the jacket is made of good quality materials, feels extremely well made and has many nice design touches. I’ve only worn it a couple of times so far but have received complements or enquiries as to where I got it from?

Not sure if it could be considered for future versions but a button on the cuffs to make them smaller / more fitted would be nice, as the jacket feels fitted throughout apart from the cuffs. But hey, that’s a personal preference and may ruin the design aesthetic?

Overall I am delighted with my jacket, well worth the money. In fact I’ve already started to look for my next purchase from the Frahm shop!!
