I ordered my Utility Field jacket (size medium, in the black colour) late on Wednesday and it arrived on Saturday morning. I was immediately impressed by it – the go to Belstaff has already gone to the back of the cupboard. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for in a jacket; classy, up to the minute design (I’m a designer so I’m particularly fussy about what I wear!), well made, great detailing and a great cut. It fits me perfectly - I’m 6’ 1” tall (when I’m not wearing my anti gravity trousers) and hover around 78 Kg (if I keep walking past the pork pies, as they call to me!). Strangely enough, I also sport what seems to be the obligatory Frahm beard! I’m particularly impressed with the sleeve length. It’s perfect for me.
All in all, I’m chuffed to little mint balls with the jacket – a phrase I’ve not used in a long time. Actually, I’m not entirely sure where the phrase comes from (I hope it doesn’t cause offense to any of the diminutive mint ball community) but it’s supposed to mean I’m highly delighted with my new purchase. So much so, I’ll be pre-ordering a Woodland Worker's jacket tomorrow.
So Fall in Toronto was cut short this year; I got to wear my Utility Field Jacket just a few times. I’m 6’5”, 210 pounds, so I bought the XL Tall. A bit snug in the shoulders, but that’s nothing new. Jacket has award-winning sleeve length, is roomy enough around the body for a sweater, and has a bomber length feel to it. Great detailing with a lot of space for stuff. Can be styled up or down and does well in the rain. Thank you Nick for your resolve to start over and make something wonderful for the rest of us. Can’t wait for Spring!
I ordered a navy utility jacket in medium which arrived just under 3 weeks ago.
I am a slim, athletic build and the fit is perfect, being nicely tailored. The style and cut are great.
The workmanship and detailing is excellent, it feels a good quality jacket and I am sure it will last for years.
It’s just the right weight for the UK climate, and being wind proof and water resistant, it’s ideal for the four seasons we can get in one day in Cornwall.
Helpful advice and service from Nick.
These jackets really are top quality. I’ve bought a couple now, including the most excellent field jacket!
The direct feedback from the founder before ordering was highly uncommon, a theme you’ll find continues with Frahm.
Keep up the sensational work, Nick.
This was my first purchase from Frahm and I was super impressed. The fit is good, the quality of the materials is outstanding but the buttons can be a touch stiff. The pocket linings are nice and soft. The jacket is an well worth it investment
FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and movement. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut. Our customers rave about our fit.
Our best guide to size is your favourite existing jacket or suit jacket. Look for the inches or CM, not "medium" or "large", as these definitions differ wildly between brands.
"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso.Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit. Our arm lengths are longer than most.
If you have any questions or concern you are an unusual fit, email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or Live Chat us (bottom right hand corner here) and we will discuss sizing with your personally.
