Original Lightweight Worker's Jacket 2024

Size Guide
Size & Fit Guide
Our customers rave about our fit, check out the reviews.

FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and action. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut.

Size Chart:

HOW TO FIT YOURSELF

Size by your actual body measurements, not copying your size in another brand. Fit can vary wildly between brands and their size may not be ours.

HEIGHT: This is the easy one – measure yourself from the top of your head to your heel. (Sometimes easier to do against a wall we find.)

CHEST: To find out your chest size, take a tape measure and wrap it under your armpits at the fullest part of your chest.

ARM: Measure from the shoulder seam to the bony bit on your wrist (yes, that is the biological term).

If you can't measure your chest circumference, the best guide to size is your best fitting existing jacket or suit jacket. Then Live Chat us and we can advise what your size is.

"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso. Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit.

If you have shorter arms, we will happily have your sleeves shortened from a minimum of 3cm for you when possible (most of the time it is). Typically alterations take 3 - 4 weeks.

If you have any questions please do Live Chat or email us on hello@frahmjacket.com

French worker's jackets, or chore coats, are an extremely popular men’s staple, but I found they are too heavy and unstructured. I wanted to create a more flattering, tailored version, with clean lines and greater comfort. The gorgeous brushed Italian fabric is at the centre of this thinking, with all the usual FRAHM attention to detail and longevity.

Since its launch in 2019, it has been a huge favourite, and so, having created the Waxed Lightweight Worker’s version too, it becomes the 'Original'.

Quality Materials

Fabric is made for us in Como, Italy, from a brushed nylon cotton blend.

Crease resistant, lightly showerproof and cool against the skin.

Italian real horn or Corozo nut (white or yellow) buttons, brushed for hand feel. Triple wound and secured at the rear so they don't come loose.

YKK gunmetal hardened stainless steel chest zip.

Contrast colour inner seam bindings for clean, comfortable lines.

Black tonal embroidered brand label on upper right arm.

DESIGN DETAILS

6 pockets in total.

Two main lower cargo pockets, with hand pockets behind.

Buttoned chest pocket, with a YKK zipped chest pocket opposite it.

Pleated elbow articulation.

Tough button adjusted cuffs.

Heavy duty twin needle stitching, as with all FRAHM Jackets, for greater strength and longevity.

Casual collar that can be worn turned up if preferred

LIVING WITH YOUR FRAHM

Available in 11 sizes, more than any other brand.

Each FRAHM has an embroidered authenticity label sewn into it. The artwork changes each year, to show which unique year you own.

All care instructions are in plain English on a herringbone embroidered label, sewn into the jacket.

Machine wash on a cool, low spin, with non-bio or sensitive detergent; no conditioner; dry flat or hang. If you use conditioner by mistake, just rinse.

Will dry quickly, iron cool, or don’t bother - we don’t!

Fully biodegradable natural exterior and interior fabrics, apart from the metal zip

Sourced entirely from British and European materials. Made in the EU.

Lightweight workers jacket

This is my mod go to when I’m not in one of Nick’s Harrington jackets from his previous company. It does what it says on the tin but that’s the same with most of the Frahm jackets. I love this jacket,

Does exactly what it says on the...description

Another Frahm purchased, another great jacket owned. I recently took this on holiday to Brittany and it was the perfect companion. It's really lightweight - like wearing a shirt, but lighter. It was perfect for the variable weather - ranging from +25°c down to slightly cooler 10°c - 15°c. Unlike other jackets I own, I never felt too hot or sweaty - the ventilation works - and it was great dealing with some of the light showers we had.

It has pockets galore in the right places and just feels great. As I've come to expect from all my Frahm's, the finish and materials are quality. I just need to stop myself buying another one now...
