The Jacket is such a great product, well made, looks great and you can see the attention to detail in every aspect. I feel very lucky to have it and love wearing it. Thank you Frahm your customer service is outstanding. Love it!
Attracted by the story of this brand and purchased a field jacket. When it arrived I could tell the quality was really good. Wore it for the first time today walking into work in the rain. Did a good job. Liked it so much I preordered the Ventile Thermal Field jacket for when winter starts.
Saw these guys at the Frome Independent a year or so ago and was impressed with the story of building a new brand from scratch.
Liked the evolving story on social media so held off buying a “new coat” but was a bit cautious about the price. However, the reviews were SO good. I missed the pre-order for the Utility Field Jacket, and was gutted at the thought of waiting for a year.
However, I messaged with a question about sizing and Nick replied almost immediately. I’d missed the boat for pre-orders but then a message from Emmalou told me one had been returned. Blown away by the service but the jacket is even better - great cut, immaculate finish, lovely details. Worth the price and more. Thanks guys.
Anyone with enough time and enthusiasm could sfind the best material or the best zip or cuff shape, sleeve design, collar, magnetic closure, lining, pocket size, shape, fit, style...BUT could they do all.of these and make the perfect jacket?
Fortunately the answer is yes! Nick and the Frahm team have done it.
The Utility is a masterpiece of design. Every component of it has been reviewed and optimised and it shows. I cant fault it. The only issue is that I'm now oddly hoping for a bit more inclement weather so I have the excuse to wear it more.
Just received my black utility jacket - and it's a masterpiece of the jacket maker's art - ably demonstrated by Nick. I'm a big unit with a 48 inch chest so take a XXXL but not really particularly corpulent (large framed as my GP would say). What I Iove is that it's all beautifully in proportion - a bit wider across but not too much - so you don't get the 'shoulder pad effect', where you look like you've come through a time warp from the 80s, as you do often with larger sizes.
It feels and looks fabulous. Thanks very much - now I'm just waiting for some colder weather so I can give it a proper spin.
FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and movement. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut. Our customers rave about our fit.
Our best guide to size is your favourite existing jacket or suit jacket. Look for the inches or CM, not "medium" or "large", as these definitions differ wildly between brands.
"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso.Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit. Our arm lengths are longer than most.
If you have any questions or concern you are an unusual fit, email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or Live Chat us (bottom right hand corner here) and we will discuss sizing with your personally.
