Lightweight Worker's Jacket 2021

Size Guide
Size & Fit Guide

Our customers rave about our fit, check out the reviews.

FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and action. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut.

HOW TO FIT YOURSELF

Size by your actual body measurements, not copying your size in another brand. Fit can vary wildly between brands and their size may not be ours.

HEIGHT: This is the easy one – measure yourself from the top of your head to your heel. (Sometimes easier to do against a wall we find.)

CHEST: To find out your chest size, take a tape measure and wrap it under your armpits at the fullest part of your chest.

ARM: Measure from the shoulder seam to the bony bit on your wrist (yes, that is the biological term).

measurement guide

Next, compare your measurements with our size chart below to see which Frahm jacket is right for you.

size chart

If you can't measure your chest circumference, the best guide to size is your best fitting existing jacket or suit jacket. Then Live Chat us and we can advise what your size is.

"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso. Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit.

If you have shorter arms, we will happily have your sleeves altered for you when possible (most of the time it is). Please Live Chat or email us to discuss.

Nick's Design Notes

The FRAHM Lightweight Worker’s Jacket is a detailed, wonderfully comfortable - yet tough throw-on casual option for Spring, Summer,  early Autumn and indoors.

Go to option for the artist or workshop dweller, a Chore Coat, French Worker’s Jacket, or Work Shirt is a must have for the warmer months and work indoors.

As ever, we’ve taken a classic style and augmented it. The brushed Italian fabric is a tough ripstop that is somehow also crease resistant, showerproof and cool against the skin.

There are pockets galore, with two main lower cargo pockets, with hand pockets behind (it drives us nuts not to have anywhere to put hands). Add in a buttoned chest pocket, with a zipped chest pocket opposite it.

We have paid particular attention to the buttons. These are real horn, brushed for a wonderful hand feel. The thread is triple woven through to a smaller holding button to the rear, with the thread then bound around the button at it’s centre to create an extremely tough and long lasting natural fixing. These buttons will not be falling off.

The button cuffs have two widths to select, a short casual collar that can be turned up if desired, and there are red seam bindings within. As ever we use heavy duty twin needle stitching to add longevity and there's a tonal black FRAHM brand label on the right upper arm.

This is a jacket to be worked: spattered with oil paints, grabbed from a pub bench and thrown on as the sun goes down or to smarten up a Summer work outfit.

Weather range, with t-shirt from 10c to 24c - mild to warm days, wind & light showers. Or use as layer under heavier jacket in cold weather.

Crimson red lightweight worker's jacket

My second Frahm garment.
I purchased the lightweight red tartan workshirt, I was impressed by the features and details of the shirt, it is a fantastic fit and super comfy.

The worker's jacket fits like a glove, the red with black buttons and shoulder patch looks great with a simple black t-shirt.

A really pleasing aspect of the jacket is the different looks or styles that you can achieve . Collar up, collar down, jacket open or closed, somehow it always looks great however you choose to wear it.

Looks great and feels great - I'll be back for more!

Finally got to wear my lightweight workers jacket after the heatwave gave way to some cooler and damper weather. Came across Frahm when one of Nick's videos popped up as as a suggestion on Facebook, and I was taken by the enthusiasm he showed for his product - he seemed like somebody who genuinely cared about making sure that customers got a product they would love. I went for the olive/red soviet jacket, and it looks and feels like a top quality product. I'm delighted at having found an outstanding, British designed product, from a family run business that can easily hold its own against other global fashion brands. I've bought a lot of jackets in my time, and this one stands out as being a cut above the rest. I'm already deciding what to get for autumn/winter. Even the box the jacket came in looked good! I would highly recommend. Go ahead and treat yourself, you wont be disappointed!

Always leave me wanting another

This is my second Frahment, fits just as I want it to, the quality is superb and I'm certain it'll stand the test of time. Perfect for cooler summer days based on the few weeks I've had it. Seems to simultaneously keep me warm enough but at the same time, cooler when I'm marching the dog round the woods at pace. I'm sold, over time anything not Frahm will be replaced

Lightweight worker's jacket 2021

The jacket initially delivered was not perfect but I find that when there is an issue, this is when companies show their true colours, and FRAHM did not disappoint. The support people on the web chat were very helpful and resolved the problem quickly and efficiently and I love the jacket.

Well, well, well - it’s surprising how good a jacket can make you feel.

Well designed, well made, well fitting.
I love my Frahm jacket and from a company with a great ethos and supporting an important charity.
Customer support has been super even although I initially ordered the wrong size and even the excitement of the pre-order wait for something that may as well have been bespoke made for me, was very much worth it.
Luckily the Scottish weather is variable enough that another season can bring another Frahm.
