Harrington Racer Jacket

Size Guide
Size chart

Our customers rave about our fit, check out the reviews.

FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and action. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut.

Size by measurements, not that you are a 'Large' or 'XL' in another brand. Fit can vary wildly between brands and their size may not be ours.

If you can't measure your chest circumference, the best guide to size is your best fitting existing jacket or suit jacket. Then Live Chat us and we can advise what your size is. We are experienced fitters.

"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso. Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit. Our arm lengths are longer than most.

If you have short arms, we will happily have your sleeves altered for you when possible (most of the time it is). Please Live Chat or email us to discuss.

If you have any questions please do Live Chat or email us on hello@frahmjacket.com

We have some 2020 Racers that were set aside for press & media in the Archive. They are in perfect condition. Plus some Medium Talls that we are discontinuing.

Nick Design Notes: I've designed more Harringtons than any other jacket style. I'm obsessed by tweaking their simple, totally classic aesthetic with performance. I wanted a sleek, more masculine and utility version for FRAHM. This style is well suited to cycling, mopeds & motorcycling, so I used motorsport to influence a tougher, stripped down harrington that hides it's performance.

We’ve innovated an all time British Mod-style classic, the Harrington Jacket. It is subtly modernised to make it harder wearing, more comfortable for active movement, totally washable, with a hell of a lot of performance and versatility for something so good looking.

Constructed from machine washable waxed fabric, it will gradually develop a worn look, as with all waxed jackets, but without any reduction in performance or the oily inconvenience of old school waxed fabrics.

The fit is 'real world'. Not unrealistically tight, not loose, just right. The sleek Jet Exhaust vent sits between the shoulder that have extra space built in, for cycling or chin-ups. The arms are longer, for real-world movement.

Weather range from 6c (room for layering) to 20c, wind, showers or persistent light rain.

Technical notes:

  • Custom toughened stainless gunmetal steel YKK zips
  • External zipped chest pocket
  • High, jawline stiffened collar, with ultrafine fleece lining
  • British Millerain washable waxed cotton, Made in Yorkshire, that's tough, shower & abrasion resistant, breathable, fast drying
  • Subtly cut for activity, with extra room in shoulders & longer arms
  • Pleated shoulders & elbows for articulated movement
  • Scalloped, ultrafine fleece-lined cuffs
  • Ultrafine fleece lined hand pockets with custom steel YKK zips
  • Double layered shoulder armour for toughness & subtle motorcycling aesthetic
  • Lined seams - no ragged edges
  • All care information is sewn onto the inside with herringbone patch - no unsightly cheap flapping labels
  • Herringbone exterior FRAHM brand label

£10 from each jacket sold will be donated to Mind mental health charity.

Excellence as always

This is my second Frahm after the Utility Field jacket. I was torn between the red and black and opted for the black on the basis it would be more versatile. Part of me still thinks I should have opted for the red but that could be another day.
The same high quality fabric, finish and style is evident. An excellent product.

SLICK AND MODDY

I've been super frugal all year but it was time to splash out. Over the years I've had Harrington style jackets. Flight jackets. Even a second hand Belstaff copy and my dad's old Barbour. All cheap and cheerful. The flight jacket was an Alpha Industries one and not so cheap at the time. Anyway my Frahm has many of the styling nods and is lovely quality so I'm chuffed. I followed the sizing guide and was tempted by Medium as I wanted it to look fitted. But the guides pointed to Large and thank goodness as there's room for a jumper in winter as the jacket is windproof but not warm as such. I have received compliments from two ladies I know for it. My mate said something less complimentary but then admitted he was jealous. I clicked on black which was out of stock so went for green. Glad I did as it is a suitable colour for the waxed material.

Harrington racer jacket

waited ages to buy a Frahm jacket. , finally took the plunge. The jacket arrived in a few days. I knew the jacket would be excellent quality but it exceeded my expectations. It fits perfectly , I normally wear a medium and would have bought that size but I used the sizing guide on the web site which suggested I buy large, glad I did. Love everything about this company and can’t wait to buy another. Many thanks
