Our customers rave about our fit, check out the reviews.
FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and action. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut.
Size by measurements, not that you are a 'Large' or 'XL' in another brand. Fit can vary wildly between brands and their size may not be ours.
If you can't measure your chest circumference, the best guide to size is your best fitting existing jacket or suit jacket. Then Live Chat us and we can advise what your size is. We are experienced fitters.
"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso. Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit. Our arm lengths are longer than most.
If you have short arms, we will happily have your sleeves altered for you when possible (most of the time it is). Please Live Chat or email us to discuss.
If you have any questions please do Live Chat or email us on hello@frahmjacket.com

Nick’s Design Notes: Parkas are awesome for harsh winter conditions, but the big brands seem intent on making either shiny synthetic or baggy fashion versions. I wanted to make a world-beater. A more grown up, less flimsy, more detailed parka that oozes quality & longevity. The design references classic Arctic exploration kit & Scandinavian military designs, whilst increasing performance. My initial design notes say "built like a tank". It is.
This jacket is an investment, not a fashion statement. The FRAHM Thermal Utility Parka is the reclamation of a classic that's lost its way in terms of style & quality. We’ve mixed the best of the old and the new, sourcing as close as Yorkshire and as far as Japan. Every detail has been pored over. We've tried to think of everything and scrimp on nothing.
It centres around 3 layers of fabric: A heavy grade of washable waxed cotton from Yorkshire makes this a jacket you can drag through brambles (we actually test it that way). You couldn't do that with a synthetic down jacket. The insulation is a recycled breathable microfibre, that is far more practical & effective than down feathers. The lining is a wonderfully soft brushed cotton flannel. This all adds up to a lot of comfort and insulation from the elements, for many years, not a season.
All the touch-points are oversized, for ease of use with gloved hands, in harsh conditions. The rare Italian stainless steel clasps are highly practical for gloved hands. Conversely, ultra modern chunky YKK Aquaguard zips keep you sealed in. The peaked hood is cord adjustable around the head and front, for a better fit and clear sight. The large cargo pockets have extremely comfortable and with hand pockets behind them. The waist is adjustable and the length is mid-thigh for deep Winter warmth, therefore we've put in super tough zips at the hips, so you can sit down with ease.
Use in cool to sub zero weather, in high winds, snow, sustained light rain or showers. With a single layer the temperature range is 0c to +10c, or down to -10c with layers. The fit is forgiving and can accommodate a thick jumper or multiple layers.
Technical notes:
FRAHM always gives £10 to Mind, the mental health charity, for every jacket sold.
I bought this jacket for my husband and he absolutely loves it (as do I) The cut, fit and style of the jacket are timeless and this will always be a staple in any man's wardrobe.
I would add that the customer service was impeccable as I ordered the wrong size (twice!!) but the team were so helpful, patient and understanding.
I'm just hoping there will be a female line soon!!
This Thermal Military Parka is the fourth jacket I've purchased from Frahm. Initially I purchased the same size as my previous jackets but when it arrived it was absolutely enormous on me, due to the different cut and deliberately oversized proportions - thankfully I was able to exchange it for the next size down. And I'm so glad I did.
I can only echo the other reviews and comments of this coat - it's built like a tank. The weather has been cold and wet since I received my Parka, which has been perfect for test driving it. There's a real feeling of battening down the hatches as you close the various fasteners on the front. None of my other Frahm jackets have hoods but I'd heard good things about the way they had been implemented on other coats and I'm happy to report that the Parka's hood is excellent.
A feature carried over from other jackets is the hand pockets behind the flapped pockets on the front - I absolutely love this feature and wonder why more manufacturers haven't adopted it.
I can't honestly think of anything negative to say - even the customer service was exemplary when resolving the issue of my first jacket being too large. If I was being really harsh I might have knocked off a fraction of a star for having to pay £25 to return the first jacket (it's big, heavy and expensive so this was the only option my Post Office would offer) - but I appreciate that offering free returns would make a big dent in a small company's cashflow.
So warm, so stylish yet practical. I cannot wait for heavy rain, sleet, snow + sub zero temperatures to really put the parka through its wearable paces!
I pre-ordered this jacket hoping it would live up to its description and I was not disappointed.
Its absolutely bomb proof, the quality fo the materials and finish is excellent way better than the expensive but mass produced coats I already have. The design and the details are fabulous, I keep finding little features that are brilliant from a useful perspective as well as looking good.
The fit is soooo good true to the size description and clearly cut for “real” body shapes
If this isn't the embodiment of, “you get what you pay for” I don't know what is.
Currently deciding which Frahm jacket I “need” next
