I love a gilet / vest / bodywarmer (delete as applicable) for keeping warm when it's 'in-between', and I want maximum movement - usually sat outside a cafe in autumn or having muddy kick-abouts with my kids.
The problem was, they're usually big, puffy, synthetic balls that easily get damaged. So, we've created this much slimmer, tougher gilet, with as much detail in the inside as the out.

So jacket number 5. A difficult purchase as I've tried to be tactical in what I buy and when I make a purchase, trying to get a range of temperature and weather options. The archive has been a good friend to me up until now. Whilst I'd love another big beast, the QUG neatly fitted into the obvious gap in my jacket arsenal as my current (cheap & shiny) one is showing its age. So off I went....
I must admit I was slightly disappointed at first (stay with me!), I'd got so used to the vast number of features on my other Frahms. That along with the ongoing discovery of yet more bloody pockets. However I soon recognised that I'd been spoiled and quickly got over it. The lack of sleeves obviously robs a jacket designer of some feature opportunities, but there's still plenty there. The chest pocket zip recess is a great touch and I love the two tone colour. It's also great not being packed full of feathers which always look better on birds!
So what I have is a lovely, warm, super smart, tough and functional Gilet....which is exactly what I wanted. Top marks as always.
This is my second frahm along side my Harrington racer. I was lucky enough to get it in the clearance and the used my frahm points, result got it for £175
It’s nicely fitted to your body and is warmer than I thought, it’s now my go to when I go out, that’s if it’s not raining 😂
