We took the best of two American hall of fame men’s jacket styles and upgraded everything.

The Harrington was originally created as a golfing coat in the UK. It became adopted by American film idols like James Dean, Elvis & Steve McQueen, before making a return into UK counter culture as a punk & mod classic.

The MA-1 was designed for ease of movement and warmth for mid Twentieth Century pilots, becoming what we now know as a Bomber.

Both original designs are absolute classics in men's style & culture, but remain rooted in the mid 20th century, with unflattering shapeless flimsy fabric, fiddly trim and pockets that aren't fit for purpose.

Out goes flimsy for tough, structured Scottish waxed cotton. The quilted corduroy lining is now luxurious. Every detail is more masculine and flattering, with armoured shoulders, hip adjusters and hard wearing finishing touches.

FRAHM's 'most wanted' Harrington Racer Jacket is a light Spring Summer jacket, but offers insufficient protection in Autumn Winter.

Finally, you get the same key features, with quilted insulation.

Those features include Scottish durable water-repellant cotton exterior, a high funnel neck, sleek motorsport silhouette with built up shoulders, and oversize hardened stainless steel zips.

The quilting gives us greater structure to add even more feature & storage....

Corduroy pulls off a rare balance of soft luxury with tough utility. Very FRAHM.

Pure cotton microcord envelopes Primaloft's highly breathable lightweight insulation on the interior, adding even greater comfort and that wonderfully cosy feeling.

We've also used it at the inner collar and snap-adjusted cuffs, so anything against your skin is as comfortable as possible.

The quilted re-design of our beloved but lightweight Harrington Racer offers allows for much larger storage.

As ever for FRAHM, there's always large hand pockets at just the right angle, lined with pure cotton moleskin.

Then we have added two large symmetrical chest pockets with enough room for the largest smartphone.

Inside, a YKK zipped chest pocket can also be used for a smartphone max.

Then (deep breath) below that there's a smaller ticket pocket to drop mints or...tickets... in.

Finally, a large book pocket on the lower right is there for notebooks or novels. Plus a tough stainless steel carabiner for keys.
