Now, for something rather different.

 

No, I wasn't Made in London (I'm a Nottingham lad), but I was SHAPED in London.

 

I arrived from Manchester with my girlfriend in 1997, a skint delivery boy. We left for Bath in 2016, minds filled with endless stories, married with two little kids.

 

I know London. This is my journey, only two weeks ago, across this very tough, very beautiful city, to see meet Jenny at our factory. 

 

It's not what you might expect from FRAHM, or indeed, me. I surprised myself.

BRITISH MATERIALS, MADE IN LONDON

British origin, Lancashire fabric, Yorkshire lining, Gloucestershire buttons, Somerset upgraded design, London manufacture.

This is (apart from the YKK zips and key carabiner) an entirely British enterprise.

The beautiful dual colour laminated navy/beige or beige/navy cotton twill fabric is naturally showerproof, breathable, fast drying and odour resistant. No, it's not waterproof, but it never has been.

MADE FOR USE, NOT JUST LOOKS

There are many great looking trench coats out there. But do they work?

Do they have seven pockets, for hands, phone, keys (attached to secure carabiner), passport, etc?

Could you do pull ups in it? Like actually move...

Will it last a decade? Maybe a lifetime.
Is it water resistant and breathable?
These are the things we worry about, work on and solve. Not just the style.
