Hands down the best jacket/coat/thing I’ve ever had wrapped around me. I have a few Frahm’s now, but nothing compares to this. The detail is fantastic, it oozes quality in every fibre. I haven’t stopped wearing it since it arrived (outside the house - I do occasionally stroke it as I walk past it in the hallway)

I got it in red, and what a red. It’s absolutely gorgeous, the cotton cashmere is beautiful, th snaps, the zips.

Can’t really say much more than if you buy one, you won’t be disappointed, in fact, you’ll fall in love and live happily ever after!

I’m a man who loves coats. I can’t get enough of jackets and coats. I promised my wife this would be my last for a while, I perhaps lied! Keep them coming.

The quality of this coat is superb: fantastic materials, great details, and functionality that’s hard to beat.

A few fit notes that might help others: I’m a slim-to-average build (40" chest, 36" waist, 6'3" tall) and usually have no trouble with off-the-peg clothing, but this one didn’t quite match my shape.

I tried both Medium and Large. The Medium was a bit snug (but acceptable) in the shoulders, yet far too tight in the arms, only a T-shirt would fit underneath. The Large fit comfortably in the shoulders, but the arms were still snug, meaning you have to hold onto long sleeves when putting it on to prevent them rolling up. Not a deal breaker, just a little annoying. The bigger fit issue (for me) is how generously the coat is cut around the chest, and especially the waist relative to the arms and shoulders. From the side, it can make you look like you have a bit of a belly. Tightening the waist adjuster helps, but it leaves long dangling elastic and creates a pronounced hourglass shape, which isn’t my preference, I find straighter lines more flattering. Another consequence of the wide hem is that it lets cold air flow up into the jacket, compromising warmth somewhat, which is a shame. Perhaps adding an adjustable hem could help block drafts on colder days?

All that said, the jacket is so well made that I’ve kept it anyway. I’m planning to see a tailor to refine the fit and remove some material to prevent uncomfortable bunching when sitting. Once that’s done, I’m hoping it will be the perfect winter coat for me.

Finally, a big thank you to Clive in customer service for the excellent help. I’m now looking for another Frahm that might be a better fit off the peg.

Whilst the initial appearance is of a quality product I have only worn it on three occasions. The first two just walking to the town and back with the hood removed.
The third occasion was to a rugby match in wet and windy conditions so I refitted the hood. Unfortunately part way through the afternoon one of my friends noticed that the hood was coming unattached as the zip was opening from the wrong end. On returning home I removed the hood with some difficulty. As I was leaving the country for warmer climes the next day I have left the jacket at home and therefore been unable to investigate fully the cause of the problem.

Really pleased with the quality. This is my second Frahm so I wasn’t really expecting anything less. Yes, they do cost a lot of money and you have to wait a long time for delivery but you won’t be disappointed.

It’s the perfect winter coat/jacket. There’s no need to consider wearing a thin jacket underneath to store your essentials, as the Thermal Field jacket has pockets for everything. They’re a decent size too - it’s almost as if someone spent time designing them for maximum utility rather than style! Actually, the jacket looks pretty good too, thanks to its design, fabric, cut and finish. The clear size guide led me to choose a medium, which is the perfect fit for me. I’ve been wearing it through the recent cold and wet weather, and it’s cosy and dry of course. No regrets!
