Think of a waterproof. It's invariably thin, crinkly and shiny. That doesn't lend itself to structured tailoring, thus smartness and a flattering fit. Nor will it help it last. One errant bramble bush or rusty gate nail, and it may be ruined.

We have worked with Italian fabric legends Olmetex of Como, Italy to offer you a matte twill surface, very tough (you can literally drag it through brambles, and worse) and thus always smart fabric.

As with any high-end technical waterproof, you get 10,000mm high waterproofing and breathability, in an altogether classier package.

This tailored hood is not an afterthought. It is the uniquely detailed and flattering.

The fit is neat and good looking, with further exact adjustment via 3 stainless steel barrel adjusters on shock cords.

The cut covers the chin, with zip dock to prevent snagging your beard. There's peripheral vision, so you don't have to pull the hood aside, or take it off, to cross the road or view that check the next path of the rocks. The peak is ample and structured, to prevent heavy rain hitting you in the face.

It is even pleated, to add manoeuvrability. No detail is left unattended to.

Waterproofs usually have three pockets. Two twiddly hand pockets and a zipped phone pocket.

Behind them, 2 large deep pure cotton moleskin lined hand pockets, which don't allow your belongings to slip out.
