I first became aware of Frahm when I heard Nick's interview on Radio 4 in Aug '24. I was impressed by his life story and the ethos behind Frahm as a company. I really liked the designs I saw online but could I justify spending so much money on "just" a jacket?
A few weeks ago, I ordered a Harrington jacket from another well-known UK clothing retailer, who I use for T-shirts, polos, etc. - like their stuff and very happy with them. It was heavily discounted in the sale (yes, the exact opposite of the Frahm approach) and when it arrived it was perfectly fine for the money, but the fit was oddly short in the arms - it had to go back.
So, I thought "sod it, I'll have another look at Frahm". Luckily, they still had a 2025 Harrington in my size, so I hit the button. It arrived a couple of weeks later and as soon as I took it out, I could see it oozed quality. The weight of the fabric, the cut and fit, the quality of the stitching, zips, etc. all absolutely superb.
I haven't yet worn it "in anger" (it's hanging on the outside of the wardrobe, so I can admire it) but I've no doubt I'll have many years of pleasure wearing it. You may think I'm going overboard for what is an item of clothing, but order one yourself and you'll see what I mean - I promise you won't regret it.
