UPGRADED CLASSIC: GEORGE V BRITISH PATROL JACKET

British officers wore navy blue patrol jackets throughout the Victorian era. These developed into more practical buttoned affairs, through the early 20th century into what is now know as No.1 Dress, the ceremonial army proudly uniform worn today.

We took what is essentially a much smarter field jacket style, tempering the ceremonial opulence for more subtle, practical luxury, whilst retaining the clean military lines and real world utility.

That meant pure cashmere, the ultimate in luxury with actual performance. A beautiful silk lining retains the opulent-but-it-works theme.

PURE LORO PIANA CASHMERE FABRIC

We are proud to use high quality fabrics made in Italy by Loro Piana, and to offer this unique Cashmere Green Storm System®, a rainproof fabric.
The hand feel is intensely dense and beautiful to the touch, yet offers that rare quality amongst the finest wools of also being extremely hard-wearing, stain & odour resistant, even water resistant.
The feeling we experienced in testing this jacket is unlike any other fabric we've tried. We literally HAD to make it.

PURE SILK ART

Only one lining fabric to match the extraordinary bar set by the pure cashmere wool - pure silk.
Again, silk isn't simply a beautiful thing, it has strength, odour resistance, is fast drying and of course ludicrously pleasant to touch.
We had our silk printed in London with our design created with British artists Rhythm Studio, to create a graphic maze representing our journey through real life. The red highlights, to hint at it's military dress origins.

EXTREME ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Every FRAHM offers intense but subtle detailing. We couldn't construct something from pure cashmere and silk without spending years perfecting every last cut and stitch.
Classic subtlety was forefront in our minds, so we used British real horn buttons and stainless steel YKK zips for beautiful longevity.
There's pure cotton moleskin at the hand pockets and inside neck.
8 pockets: 4 field configuration at chest and cargo. 2 hand pockets behind those cargo pockets. 1 internal book pocket with embroidered Loro Piana authenticity label and 1 internal zipped smartphone pocket.
