UPGRADED CLASSIC: 1950S HARRINGTON JACKET

A hall of fame men’s jacket style, the casual Harrington Jacket was originally created as a golfing coat in the UK. It became adopted by American film idols like James Dean, Elvis & Steve McQueen, before making a return into UK counter culture as a punk & mod classic.

However, the original design remains rooted in the mid 20th century, with shapeless cotton, fiddly buttons and hand pocket flaps that curl.

We took the simple Harrington concept and made it tougher, with finer detailing, using it’s motorsport associations to make it more streamlined.

The fit is more masculine and flattering, with armoured shoulders, hip adjusters and steel trim.

RIPSTOP DRY WAXED FABRIC

Halley Stevensons of Dundee provide the mid-weight ripstop dry-waxed cotton exterior, which is shower resistant and highly breathable. It can be machine washed, unlike old-style sticky, heavy waxed jackets of old, and does not need re-proofing. The strengthened grid prevents snags, like ripstop parachute material, and won't sag, for an angular, more structured shape.

CNC MACHINED WINGBACK COMPONENTS

London designer / engineers Wingback have built bead blasted stainless steel zip pullers, attached by kevlar cords at the main front zip & front pocket and the hand pockets, to match our custom YKK stainless steel zips, the best there are. Hardened steel poppers on the rear hip adjusters complete the toughened Workshop theme.

EVERY SINGLE DETAIL

All this toughness is balanced by A beautifully soft pure cotton moleskin internal lining, as well as inside the high funnel-neck collar, scalloped cuffs and hand pockets.
Soft vegetal-dyed Tuscan leather, embossed with out combined logos at the right upper arm & inside neck.
Even the pockets are designed to hold Wingback tools, such as a dedicated pen pocket and book pocket for the leather notebook.

We tailor for men from 5'4" to 6'10" tall.

With chest sizes from 36" to 56".

That means eleven sizes & free sleeve alterations, unique in jacket brands.

Importantly, we take time to tailor exceptional fabrics that drape flatteringly, not suck around the bits you didn't want to accentuate.

We make you look manly, in a "I want to feel good, but not look like I'm trying too hard" way.

If you're not sure of your size, we can check your exact size easily. Everyone here has been helping men with sizing for years.

After we've delivered that year's edition to our customers, we re-launch the next year's edition.

WHEN SHOULD I ORDER?

The short answer is always as soon as you can.

We're booking production space and getting fabric made twelve months before they've even been made.

Options gradually run out as we tick down from 12 months ahead to the arrival date.

If you see gaps in the options of colour/size, etc, that's an alarm bell.

WHY DO I KEEP SEEING 20% OFF?

That 20% discount doesn't mean we're in a Sale. We don't do them. We don't overbuy.
