Beautiful jacket, lucky enough to grab in the sample same.
Excellent quality and fit, so much top notch detailing.
Bought this jacket in the FRAHM sale of seconds and samples a few weeks ago and must say I’m very impressed again by the quality of the jacket and excellent service from FRAHM. The materials and build are second to none and detailing is superb with lots of practical features and plenty pockets ! Its looks great and I’m sure will last for years. It’s now my third FRAHM, after the rugged Woodland Worker jacket and excellent waterproof Shield jacket (now discontinued) and a Harrington is on the way soon. I did have to cancel an order for a jacket last year and FRAHM refunded me immediately and it was no problem at all, and they are always there to advise and help out if required. So yes it’s becoming a bit of an obsession, but in a good way and quality never really comes that cheap. So take the plunge and buy one now, and as a returning customer you did get little treats along the way which is always nice 😊!
Another great Frahm. I was hoping to replicate the fit and feel of my thermal military parka for the warmer seasons and was not disappointed. It’s exactly what I hoped for- a longer length but lightweight weather resistant jacket with a great fit and finish. I have various frahm jackets with different types/weights of dry wax cotton but this is by far the nicest feeling material.
Nabbed a Ruby Red version in the recent sample sale. I now have 5 of these all in different colours, which I guess is a glowing recommendation in itself. Same quality, construction as the 'full' version and sold as creased - bothered!!! This colour will slot right in with the others a a colour 'point of difference' and pretty unique too. Love these bad boys although I reckon I may we have enough now.
Managed to get myself a 2024 style Correspondent jacket in a recent sale, at what I would call a give-away price. Arrived last week and already worn it several times. Great fit as ever (think this is the 4th jacket I have) and it just looks cool-as walking around town. Everyone stood and stared when I walked past them, well they didn't, but they should have :)
Already owning a couple+ of Frahm jackets, I was lucky enough to get the chance to buy a sample of their already-classic Ventile field jacket at a frankly ridiculous price.
For autumn and spring (and the beginning and tail-ends of winter) this has already surpassed their already excellent thermal rip-stop parka as my preferred jacket (my 2024 Foreign Correspondents' Jacket will reappear once the weather improves!).
Warmth is perfect for anything but the coldest weather (I might prefer their parka for a Hokkaido or Transylvanian winter, but only then...). Ventile, as a fabric, has to be experienced to be believed. It's like having a waterproof Saville Row suit. Flexible, quiet, luxurious - it's already had a baptism of fire (water) in this winter's rain. You can see the fabric working by the way the water beads up on it and is easily shaken away.
Everything else is Frahm's usual exquisite attention to detail. Pockets in the right place(s). Perfect fit. A hood that works.
If you have the money or have the chance, get one of these. You won't be disappointed.
