UPGRADED CLASSIC: USAF MA-1 / L-2 FLIGHT JACKET

The original blouson or 'blouse' jackets were named as such, as they billowed outwards, due to their elasticated waists to retain heat. Essentially what we know now as 'bomber' flight jackets, they lacked smart clean lines for the city and business. The MA-1 saw a downturn collar and the L-2 saw greater smartness from the USAF.

Flight jackets / blousons then split into the Bomber and the modern Blouson as most of us call it now. The Bomber retaining it's elastication and 'billow', the Blouson becoming a straight-down tailored fit with a clean hem, no elastic. We chose this for smarter, warm weather use and the crisp masculine lines that mark out a FRAHM and make us more flattering for many men's shapes.

After that, it's 'easy'. Just upgrade everything!

CRISP HALLEY STEVENSONS COTTON

Halley Stevensons of Dundee provide the beautiful lightweight pure cotton, that stays smart and drapes flatteringly, with a neat downturned collar.

PURE OXFORD COTTON LINING

Pinpoint pale blue 100% Oxford cotton lines the torso, and is also present on the inner cuffs and hand pockets, for subtle detailing. It is soft, moisture wicking and fast drying for extra comfort.

ALL THOSE FRAHM DETAILS

As ever, we don't scrimp, with subtle details that elevate this jacket above the usual. Four pockets - 2 lined hand, 1 tough zip interior chest, 1 tough lower hem book pocket. Laser cut custom YKK stainless steel zips. Beautiful natural cuff buttons. Twin needle stitching. All the trimmings.

We tailor for men from 5'4" to 6'10" tall.

With chest sizes from 36" to 56".

That means eleven sizes & free sleeve alterations, unique in jacket brands.

Importantly, we take time to tailor exceptional fabrics that drape flatteringly, not suck around the bits you didn't want to accentuate.

We make you look manly, in a "I want to feel good, but not look like I'm trying too hard" way.

If you're not sure of your size, we can check your exact size easily. Everyone here has been helping men with sizing for years.

WHEN SHOULD I ORDER?

The short answer is always as soon as you can.

We're booking production space and getting fabric made twelve months before they've even been made.

Options gradually run out as we tick down from 12 months ahead to the arrival date.

If you see gaps in the options of colour/size, etc, that's an alarm bell.

WHY DO I KEEP SEEING 20% OFF?
