Ripstop Harrington Jacket 2027 Desert Stone

Halley Stevensons of Dundee provide the mid-weight ripstop dry-waxed cotton exterior, which is shower resistant and highly breathable.
It can be machine washed, unlike old-style sticky, heavy waxed jackets of old, and does not need re-proofing.
The strengthened grid prevents snags, like ripstop parachute material, and won't sag, for an angular, more structured shape.
The pure cotton moleskin lining is wonderfully soft but pulls off the trick of being very hardy too.
Both fabrics provide a great deal of structure, for a jacket that maintains it's shape and thus, style.

Tough fabrics need tough fittings.
The brand patch on the upper right arm is made down the road from us in Somerset, as are the leather zip pulls.
As ever, we use the very best zips. In this case custom oversize hardened stainless steel YKK on the front and both inner and outer chest pockets.
There are Cobrax stainless steel poppers at the hem adjusters too.
Even the key carabiner is built tough. That's the FRAHM way, always.

There's no point in making an armoured jacket you can't move in.
All this toughness is balanced by the beautifully soft pure cotton moleskin internal lining. We've used that moleskin at all skin-contact points: Inside the protective high funnel-neck collar, the scalloped cuffs and cosy hand pockets.
Subtle tailoring details mean the arms and shoulders move naturally.
A rear vent dumps warm air.
