FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and action. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut.
Size by your actual body measurements, not copying your size in another brand. Fit can vary wildly between brands and their size may not be ours.
HEIGHT: This is the easy one – measure yourself from the top of your head to your heel. (Sometimes easier to do against a wall we find.)
CHEST: To find out your chest size, take a tape measure and wrap it under your armpits at the fullest part of your chest.
ARM: Measure from the shoulder seam to the bony bit on your wrist (yes, that is the biological term).
Next, compare your measurements with our size chart below to see which Frahm jacket is right for you. Our jumpers are also sized in the same way.
If you can't measure your chest circumference, the best guide to size is your best fitting existing jacket or suit jacket. Then Live Chat us and we can advise what your size is.
"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso. Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit.

Parkas are incredible for harsh winter conditions, but the big brands seem intent on making either shiny synthetic or baggy fashion versions. I wanted to make a world-beater. A less flimsy, more grown up, more detailed parka that oozes longevity and quality.
The design is testament to classic Arctic exploration kits and Scandinavian military designs, with increased performance. My initial design notes say "built like a tank". It is.
This jacket is not a fashion statement, it’s an investment. The FRAHM Thermal Military Parka is the restoration of a classic that's lost its way in terms of quality & style. We’ve chosen the best of the old and the new, sourcing materials from as close as Lancashire and as far as Japan. Every detail has been pored over. We've tried to think of everything and scrimp on nothing.
The Military Parka centres around 3 layers of fabric: A heavy grade of washable waxed cotton from Rochdale, making this a jacket you can drag through brambles (we do test it that way). That wouldn’t be possible with a synthetic down jacket.
The insulation is a recycled breathable microfibre, that is far more effective and practical than down feathers. The lining is a delightfully soft brushed cotton flannel, adding to a lot of comfort and insulation from the elements, for many years, not just a season.
The key touch-points are oversized, including the rare Italian stainless steel clasps which we made highly practical for ease of use in harsh conditions. Conversely, ultra modern chunky YKK Aquaguard zips keep you sealed in. The peaked hood is cord adjustable around the head and front, for a better fit and clearer sight. There are huge cargo pockets and additional hand pockets behind them. The waist is adjustable and the length is mid-thigh for deep Winter warmth, therefore we've put in super tough zips at the hips, so you can sit down with ease.
Use in cool to sub zero weather, in high winds, snow, sustained light rain or showers. With a single layer the temperature range is 0c to +10c, or down to -10c with layers. The fit is forgiving and can accommodate a thick jumper or multiple layers.

I was looking for a warm, well made parka for winter for the two or three hours of dog walks a day I do. I wanted something sturdy, long lasting that would protect me from the bitterly cold winds we get here - and with enough pockets for the dog stuff I cart around. I’ve now worn the parka through storms, strong winds, lashing cold rain, sleet and snow. On one walk I noticed how wet and fed up my dog looked and I realised I was cosy warm and dry inside the Frahm parka. That confirmed for me that I’d definitely made the right choice buying this fabulous coat.
It took me a while to take the plunge.
I’ve been looking for a new winter coat for a while. My old North Face was no longer water proof, and the zip was broken, but the cost of the Frahm Parka made me hesitate.
I researched winter coats and the Frahm Parka kept popping up.
Then there was the early order offer, and that was all the persuasion I needed.
My parka arrived, and the sleeves needed adjusting, but that was done quickly, at no extra cost, and it arrived just in time for the weather to turn really cold.
I’m absolutely loving this parka. It’s super warm and tough.
I highly recommend this product.
You won’t regret it.
I deliberately waited to submit my review until after I’d lived with my Thermal Military Parker for a while. If I’d written a review upon its arrival it would have basically said “oh wow, the coat is beautiful, really well made i love it” but that’s only half the story right? It’s a coat and as such it has a very specific job, protect my fragile human form from the elements. So after a month of wearing the coat does it do that job? Yes, incredibly well. It’s basically immune to wind, rain and cold. I’ve stood on the sidelines watching my sons football in freezing, wet and windy conditions and been perfectly cozy. When you buy a Frahm coat, especially for the first time, it’s a risk. They aren’t cheap and you can’t see or try one on before you buy. All you have is the web and social media presence and Nick and that’s what i bought into. The coat looked amazing and Nick seemed like a sound guy who genuinely cared and wanted to make amazing products. I’m so pleased my Frahm coat lived up what i hoped it would be. In a world we’re most products are all flash and no substance Frahm is a genuine throw back to quality, value and principles. Hats off to Nick and the Frahmsters. I’m already eyeing up my next purchase.
Ticks all the boxes. Warm but not too hot, rugged with high quality materials and very practical zips on either side at the back allowing for easy movement and useful when sitting/driving. Nice yellow accents with the navy colour.
Fantastic bomb proof resilience that keeps me snug whatever the weather - well worth every penny
