A Little Story of A Great Photoshoot
We've just taken some new images on actual real men.
Those men are Pravin - chef & proprietor of Castle Farm Cafe, Midford (just South of Bath) and painter Miles Scott Kimber, whom I met at Frome Independent Market on his family stall, Bohobo Aromatherapies.
As ever, we want to feature local men we know. Non-professional models. Real life, real people - these are the themes we return to. Plus, it's more of a laugh that way!
These are images from my iPhone. The (really) good stuff is coming from Tom Hull next week. Tom showed me the previews as we sat in my kitchen with the kids crawling all over him, and I'm wildly excited. Miles & Prav are brill, and Tom has captured them beautifully... Masculine beautiful - you know what I mean.
Thanks you so much to the incredible proper music boozer - The Bell Inn in Bath, and Castle Farm Cafe - Midford for having us.
Nick.
The Bell Inn, Bath - proper pub. Proper music.
Miles smirks at strange requests from Tom.
Serious stuff, as Tom gets up close to a 'Tall' Harrington Racer Jacket. Miles is 6'5" tall (196 cm).
Told you it's a great pub.
Mooching about Bath in the Waterproof City Coat - just around the corner from Bath Rugby - The Rec.
Prav in his market garden and his French Blue Lightweight Worker's Jacket.
Gooseberries, mint and real food.
See those buildings just above Tom's head? FRAHM is based there. We walk down through those woods with the kids and up the valley to Castle Farm Cafe.
Bonnie the Jack Russell doesn't like our Jack Russell Lily. Maybe it's a girl thing. Maybe it's because she had puppies recently. Either way - she proud.
How lovely?
Prav chatting with Tom and I about eating artichokes as kids. These two also compared notes on having three girls each.
Making an actual proper shopping list (not just for show) in a Black Harrington.
Managed to make Pravin look slightly scary.
Our bedtime kids fascinated by Tom (he has three girls including a newborn) and lollies, but not photos. Fair enough.
