This jacket does what it says on the tin- keeps your dry! I’ve tested out pretty much every day since I’ve got it in some pretty grim Scottish weather and it has passed with flying colours.
The fit is great and once we can head back into the city I look forward to putting it together in an outfit rather than just for dog walking. The extra length compared to a normal rain jacket is appreciated whilst the vents on the back help keep the temp down. The buttons are nice and large which make it easy to use.
One thing I was unsure of was the size of the hood, I thought it was too small. I was convinced however once I adjusted it and was out in some very heavy rain I realised the size was just right. Apologies for doubting you Nick.
Another awesome jacket which looks good and does it’s job expertly!
Firstly let me say a big thank you to Nick for being so patient and Helpful The city coat is a great product. It fits very well, looks great and looks exactly what it is "a quality garment"only time will tell how well it will wear but I have little doubt that it will live up to expectations
The City Coat is as good as the reviews promised. It’s very well made - I am confident I will never have to buy another raincoat, unless someone steals it.
I wanted one last year, a change in job meant that I'd put this to good use but timing/need meant that I went for another option.
But it was still at the back of my mind & my solution felt like a compromise, good, but not good enough. Already owning a workers jacket (gateway drug) I had no doubt about the quality & fit (large, long for my ape-like arms) & this coat has literally got the measure of me.
It's heavy enough to feel substantial, has a feel & air of quality & the details together with the standard of finish really make it pop. Smart enough for high level business meetings, casual enough to wear with jeans & a hoodie this is my current go-to coat.
'Road' tested with a business trip to Norway it survived the travel well, not creasing & looking good at the end of a long days travel, waterproofing yet to be fully tested (I can wait) but 10 mins exposure to showers & wind seem to indicate excellent performance. And the hood. So much more practical than an umbrella - what my brother in law describes as the perfect coat for Glasgow.
Plus the tart in me likes a bit of exclusivity & my damaged MH likes the idea that the charity Mind has benefited a bit too.
Now, how to get an investment appraisal through for a ventile Field Jacket, or maybe just the camo version?
I got my Waterproof City Coat last week and it is a thing of beauty! Stylish and wonderfully made. Thank you Nick and Emmalou. I'll be back for more!

FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and action. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut.
Size by measurements, not that you are a 'Large' or 'XL' in another brand. Fit can vary wildly between brands and their size may not be ours.
If you can't measure your chest circumference, the best guide to size is your best fitting existing jacket or suit jacket. Then Live Chat us and we can advise what your size is. We are experienced fitters.
"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso. Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit. Our arm lengths are longer than most.
If you have short arms, we will happily have your sleeves altered for you when possible (most of the time it is). Please Live Chat or email us to discuss.
