I’d always wanted a replacement for my original M65 Field jacket, and decided to get what looked like the best modern version made in the UK.
When it arrived one could have been a little underwhelmed: a big green square with four smaller squares on the front. But then you appreciate how well made it is, and that it has been cut very well and fits superbly, and you realise you have started wearing it everywhere because it just works in a range of temperatures - no cloying perspiration as on many waxed-cotton jackets.
The only alteration I would make would be to have a double-ended zip - it would be useful when out on the Brompton to unzip a few inches off the brompton for ease of cycling. But this is, all round, a super coat.

Great jacket, loving it - been worn solidly since it arrived. Suitable over a good temp range, so far - 13 degrees down to zero. Feels comfortable and looks smart. Only gripe is that the push fasteners on the flap over the zip are difficult to snap in. Can recommend the jacket highly.

This is my latest Frahm acquisition following closely on the heels of my lightweight gilet. I chose the uninsulated OUFJ as I generally run pretty warm and prefer to use layers to keep warmer.
The jacket arrived in its usual neat packaging and opening up was as pleasurable as ever. The feel of the jacket just shouts a robust quality build. Slipping it on reveals the perfect fit across the shoulders, and arm length (I’m an XL) is spot on down to the great scalloped cuffs. I thought I’ll try the gilet on underneath. I shouldn’t be surprised by now (I have several Frahms) but I am - the XL gilet is a perfect fit under the jacket. The consistency of Frahm sizing is great. Once an XL, always an XL. Mission accomplished! Move over Harrington...In the current colder weather, this is my favourite combo - until I need my Parka! Really great comfortable and versatile jackets; fantastic detailing and built to last.

I’ve become one of those Frahm customers who now owns their second jacket and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Went for the insulated version and very glad I did. The perfect winter jacket for any occasion. High, high quality throughout as ever.

Apart from the quality of materials and tailoring of this classic FRAHM jacket, what I really love is the fit! The attention to sizing produces a jacket that looks like it has been made to measure! The quality of materials is superb from the dry waxed canvas to the cosy lining and the zips and snaps (I find my self opening and closing the snaps just to hear and feel the quality, sad I know). All in all summed up by my wife as a jacket that looks far too smart for field wear!
