FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and action. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut.

HOW TO FIT YOURSELF

Size by your actual body measurements, not copying your size in another brand. Fit can vary wildly between brands and their size may not be ours.

HEIGHT: This is the easy one – measure yourself from the top of your head to your heel. (Sometimes easier to do against a wall we find.)

CHEST: To find out your chest size, take a tape measure and wrap it under your armpits at the fullest part of your chest.

ARM: Measure from the shoulder seam to the bony bit on your wrist (yes, that is the biological term).

measurement guide

If you can't measure your chest circumference, the best guide to size is your best fitting existing jacket or suit jacket. Then Live Chat us and we can advise what your size is.

"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso. Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit.

If you have shorter arms, we will happily have your sleeves shortened from a minimum of 3cm for you when possible (most of the time it is).

The FRAHM Waterproof Utility Field Jacket is a heavy weight waterproof version of our Original Utility Field Jacket. An extremely tough, yet smart jacket that will withstand the elements.

I wanted a really tough hiking & work waterproof that wasn't geeky. Why can't waterproofs have more structure, storage & style, without the shiny plastic? This needed to be an all-day waterproof for hiking up rain-soaked mountains, that could double up for city meetings, with loads of chunky military-influenced features. Jason & I have been fighting over who tested it. I won, this time.

The FRAHM Waterproof Utility Field Jacket is an extremely tough waterproof that will withstand torrential rain and gorse bushes. It stays crisply, quietly stylish, so it's as useful for running for The Tube as it is running down a scree path from mountain lions. It offers serious tech in a subtly stylish & tailored package.

Great jacket, does what it says

Finally it rained, hooray! Why so happy? I get to try my newly-arrived second Frahm, the Waterproof Utility Field Jacket and it doesn't disappoint. The fabric is waterproof, with water just beading on surface, and has a nice weight to it giving it a quality feel. It's longer than the Original Field Utility jacket (my first Frahm), so provides more coverage and the hood fits great when buttoned. Love the hand pockets behind the front cargo pockets. Overall its a smart waterproof I'll use for work and social occasions.

Finally, in discussing sizing with Frahm I found out the half chest measurement is 58.5cm for the large size, which is 3mm bigger than the Original Field Utility, in case that is useful to anyone else!

Waterproof Utility Jacket

I bought this as a gift for my partner. It’s a fantastic jacket, wonderful quality and fits perfectly. The only problem is all his other jackets don’t compare well!

Worth an tweak…

Ok, full disclosure I have a few Frahm jackets and coats. I say coats as they aren’t all jackets in my book. I have a now discontinued waterproof trench coat which although a bit more formal it had a hood, which is a great rain coat. Then the ventile comes along, still one of my favourites. Waterproof, nice length and warm but no hood. So here we are with the waterproof Utility Field, to bridge the gaps. It’s the first time I’ve gone up a size so and extra layer can be added to make it into a hooded ventile or without for a lightweight version in a different fabric. As with the others, build is great, riri zip is tank like, classy touches on the lined pockets and a decent hood. Due to up sizing the sleeves were too long, so I also go to experience this service. You wouldn’t know its been shortened which is the best endorsement I can make so don’t stress if you need to make a tweak.

Love it

I’m 5tt 10” and 15 stone. XL is spot on, roomy but not too baggy. Love the style and the little touches, quality zips, comfort in the sleeves, design on the inside. My second Frahm jacket - very happy. Temperature wise I’d say from minus something up to maybe 12 or 14 degrees and then it would be too warm.
