FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and action. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut.

Size Chart:

HOW TO FIT YOURSELF

Size by your actual body measurements, not copying your size in another brand. Fit can vary wildly between brands and their size may not be ours.

HEIGHT: This is the easy one – measure yourself from the top of your head to your heel. (Sometimes easier to do against a wall we find.)

CHEST: To find out your chest size, take a tape measure and wrap it under your armpits at the fullest part of your chest.

ARM: Measure from the shoulder seam to the bony bit on your wrist (yes, that is the biological term).

If you can't measure your chest circumference, the best guide to size is your best fitting existing jacket or suit jacket. Then Live Chat us and we can advise what your size is.

"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso. Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit.

If you have shorter arms, we will happily have your sleeves shortened from a minimum of 3cm for you when possible (most of the time it is). Typically alterations take 3 - 4 weeks.

If you have any questions please do Live Chat or email us on hello@frahmjacket.com

Parkas are incredible for harsh winter conditions, but the big brands seem intent on making either shiny synthetic or baggy fashion versions. I wanted to make a world-beater. A less flimsy, more grown up, more detailed parka built with longevity and quality in mind.

The design is testament to classic Arctic exploration kits and Scandinavian military designs, with increased performance. My initial design notes say "tough as nails". It is.

Step into winter.

I haven't liked the winter months for years when it came to getting ready to go out. My younger self would brave the elements all year round in whatever I chose to wear without any thought of wearing a coat or jacket. As I got into my late 30s and beyond, I started to appreciate a good coat but it had to look good. Problem is, I spent thousands on one season wonders that would end up looking tired or would get a little cut in somewhere and if you know it's there, it isn't going back on.
When I first saw Nick advertising FRAHM on Facebook, I was curious but very dubious given the platform and my own cynicism. I kept coming back to the Thermal Military Parka though. It grabbed my attention because of the details, the built to last nature and not to mention the free sleeve alteration for my short arms which were often the ruin of many of my jackets.
I took the plunge in early 2021 and it was delivered late in the year, just in time for Christmas with a quick turnaround for the sleeves altering which I was thrilled with.
It was love at first sight. The most expensive thing I've ever bought without first seeing it in the flesh and I want disappointed. The attention to detail is stunning as is every design addition.
Not once in the intervening 3 years (nearly) have I worn it and not had someone comment on how nice it looks and some of those are repeat comments. What's better, is I've yet to see another. I'm grateful that FRAHM seem to be going from strength to strength but even more grateful that their coats are not produced for the high street.
I have since added the now withdrawn Fleece to my collection which also gets comments every time I wear it.

It's been mild this year so far, too mild for my liking as I'm I'm waiting to don the Thermal Military Parka again. I'm almost giddy at the prospect. Sad but true.

If anyone is doubting whether to take the plunge, the selfish part of me is a little happy you are doing so but honestly, you won't regret it!

Good but I’m a bit fussy

I’ve owned this for a couple of years and I love how robust it is and the quality of the material. It’s a really well made jacket. I find it warm but not super warm when the temp is low (0 to -10deg) but then I do prefer to be too hot than too cold. My only criticisms are picky but it’s the pockets. They’re too low being behind the pockets. I would prefer chest level pockets. Other than that I find the clasps at the top a bit hard to undo which is tricky in gloves. It is a lovely jacket but these bits are just a little disappointing

Robust and substantial

Another great Frahm jacket that I’m looking forward to testing in cold winter weather. This is a big coat and feels it- it’s got lots of room for layers but can be slimmed down with the shock cords to feel snug. Some say it’s stiff and heavy but I think it just feels like it’s made of much much sturdier materials than your average parka. Make no mistake though it’s definitely not a light weight slimline fitted jacket- but nor did I want or expect it to be. There is some technique to easy opening of the fireman’s clasps but I’m now reasonably confident I’ll be able to align them for a quick release, even wearing gloves, rather than having to get my thumb in to release. As usual loads of huge pockets and great build quality. The dry waxed fabric is noticeably thicker and slightly courser than on my Harrington and utility field jacket.

A top quality understated jacket

Took delivery of this jacket last year and can't wait to get it out the cupboard again next month when the weather turns in. Jacket is reassuringly heavy, warm and very hardwearing. You can walk the dog through whatever is in your way without worry that the jacket will get torn by brambles or anything else that will rip up most jackets. Worth the money, you won't need to buy another one. The fit is excellent as well, if you get an ill fitting jacket that's squarely down to you need giving the correct measurement.

Heavy duty coat

Feels indestructible. My go to when the weather is rubbish and it’s cold outside.
