UPGRADED CLASSIC: INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION FRENCH WORKER'S JACKET

Post revolution France saw factory worker’s wearing their new found status with pride. Their work or chore jackets, were built sturdy and simple, for unpretentious practicality.

Modern day chore coats, popularised by creatives like photographer Bill Cunningham, have more artistic connotations now, with open cargo pockets to carry tools / paint brushes.

However, they tend to be heavy, rounded and baggy. We’ve given the design clean lines and finer detailing, whilst retaining it’s highly practical, casual appeal.

BRUSHED ITALIAN FABRIC

The Original (so named because we first launched it in 2019, before the waxed version) utilises Italian fabric with an sleek, soft finish.

Extremely breathable and hard to crease, it's ideal for Italian piazzas in Summer.

TRIPLE WOUND BUTTONS

Made with corozo nut buttons from Courtneys of Gloucestershire.

They're triple wound onto backing buttons and bonded, so they just won't come off.

HAND POCKETS

We remain aghast that all jackets don't come with hand pockets, as does every FRAHM.

You need a way to rest those massive biceps, or to lean nonchalantly in Spanish tapas bars, ordering Fino & almonds. Again.

The short answer is always as soon as you can.

We're booking production space and getting fabric made twelve months before they've even been made.

Options gradually run out as we tick down from 12 months ahead to the arrival date.

If you see gaps in the options of colour/size, etc, that's an alarm bell.

Did I get it right?

When I selected the Original Lightweight Worker’s Jacket I wasn’t really sure when i would wear it. As it transpires it is an excellent casual jacket during the summer, lightweight but cuts out an evening breeze, provides pockets and is great to wear. Did I get it right, well not exactly, I now feel that for the times I wear it, I should have choosen any colour but black, my fault I know. one of the advantages of a jacket for me is pockets and on other Frahm jackets I can secure my phone in the zippered chest pocket; on this jacket that pocket is too small.
A shame really as this is an issue for me on what is otherwise a great jacket.

4th?

I now have 4 of this design in different colours and I'm not sure there's much more to say in terms of positives. Love it as an alternative to a blazer for the office or a really light jacket for the pub, dog walk, weekend coffee etc

Same Old Frahm

So it’s the same old Frahm jacket. Same high quality technical fabric, same fit for purpose functionality with super soft lining and plenty of pockets plus pockets for hands along with the same sharp lines eye catching design.

Will they ever do mediocre or even just pretty good? I doubt it!

Another smart, comfy and useful jacket

The biggest recommendation I can give is that I now own a few of these, in a range of colours and in both the original fabric and the waxed version (with one more on pre-order). They are just so useful, I wear these for leisure trips, to the shops, and to work (a lot, even though the dress code is casual), because they are so stylish, useful, and comfy in moderate spring, summer and autumn weather.
What would I change about them? I’d love to see a pocket that could be secured and hold a modern (large) smartphone. The current zippable chest pocket is way too small though my compact wallet does fit that, and sadly it’s hard to navigate modern life without a phone, and in a city, on public transport, or in a busy bar or restaurant, having a phone in an open external patch pocket is asking to no longer have a phone!

First impressions are all good

I’m a first time customer and it’s early days, but so far all is good with my Harrington racer.

FRAHM Navy Blouson - Another Fabulous Jacket

My new 2026 Navy Blouson jacket has arrived and it’s a superb companion to my Harrington Racer.

The blouson jacket looks great, is an excellent fit and is stunningly well made. I’ll be wearing this jacket regularly.

Did not disappoint.

I bought the Harrington Racer in Forest Green with lining. I had been looking forward to getting it, so perhaps some over-expectation, but it did not disappoint. I'm pleased I went with the Lining option as its made it both a Spring and Summer Jacket, a little extra warmth without extra bulk. Medium fits me a treat. If I have one tiny criticism it is that the waist and trunk could have been made a little more tailored/ less generous, but I know I will be back to buy another one or two Jackets more .

Great collaboration Wingback & FRAHM

Love this new collaboration from two of my favourite brands.

Another great jacket

Really like the Wingback extras on this and the different lining, all of which mark it out from my black version. The usual super fit, great construction and lovely materials. Always worth the wait. Treasured possessions. I think I now have a jacket for every occasion: though a Qulited Winter Worker is on order for later in the year. Also bought a couple of local artist John Bond prints from John. One of his pictures is inside the 2026 jackets.
