UPGRADED CLASSIC: 1930s DOWN FISHING JACKET - UPGRADE

The first puffers were created in the 1930s, for deep Winter leisure activities, particularly fishing.

However, their exterior shells were fragile, prone to tearing. The feather down, whilst warm, prevented cleaning and clumped together over time, degrading.

These days, modern puffers are a bit TOO modern for us, with wet-look massive volumes, but still the same fragility. So we didn't do that...

RIPSTOP: IT STOPS RIPS

Developed for parachutes, when rips can be fatal, ripstop fabric is a mesh of squares that keeps a hole where it is. Handy for base jumping, walking through undergrowth, or feeding hedgehogs.

soft Chambray lining

Linings seem to be an afterthought, but are equally as important to us as the exterior.

Here we use pure brushed cotton Chambray (think ultra light denim) for comfort, warmth and longevity. And more pockets, of course.

There are gunmetal snap cuff adjusters, a hem shock cord, internal pockets, fleece lined hand pockets and collar. It goes on.

We tailor for men from 5'4" to 6'10" tall.

With chest sizes from 36" to 56".

That means eleven sizes & free sleeve alterations, unique in jacket brands.

Importantly, we take time to tailor exceptional fabrics that drape flatteringly, not suck around the bits you didn't want to accentuate.

We make you look manly, in a "I want to feel good, but not look like I'm trying too hard" way.

We're booking production space and getting fabric made twelve months before they've even been made.

Options gradually run out as we tick down from 12 months ahead to the arrival date.

If you see gaps in the options of colour/size, etc, that's an alarm bell.

Style with functionality

Hi Nick, my fourth jacket from team Frahm and it didn’t disappoint, and to buy it in the sale without having to preorder was a win win for me. The detail is superb with great zips, pockets and neat stitching, so superior to the big brands. I’m a big fan, and keep doing what you are doing. What a great jacket. I'm 197cm and 140kg and the 5XL fits nicely with a jumper underneath. My wife says it looks good, fortunately it swamps her but I feel I might be getting a smaller version soon as well. Nice pocket in the middle of the back that I found after a week.

Superb product as usual.

I love FRAHM products and have purchased quite a few items over the last few years. This jacket is a great addition to the other FRAHM items that I own. Superb build quality and I believe this purchase will last many years. One observation is I do like inner zipped pockets on jackets and I would have preferred this jacket to have included one in the design.
