UPGRADED CLASSIC: 1930s DOWN FISHING JACKET - UPGRADE

The first puffers were created in the 1930s, for deep Winter leisure activities, particularly fishing.

However, their exterior shells were fragile, prone to tearing. The feather down, whilst warm, prevented cleaning and clumped together over time, degrading.

These days, modern puffers are a bit TOO modern for us, with wet-look massive volumes, but still the same fragility. So we didn't do that...

RIPSTOP: IT STOPS RIPS

Developed for parachutes, when rips can be fatal, ripstop fabric is a mesh of squares that keeps a hole where it is. Handy for base jumping, walking through undergrowth, or feeding hedgehogs.

Linings seem to be an afterthought, but are equally as important to us as the exterior.

Here we use pure brushed cotton Chambray (think ultra light denim) for comfort, warmth and longevity. And more pockets, of course.

We tailor for men from 5'4" to 6'10" tall.

With chest sizes from 36" to 56".

That means eleven sizes & free sleeve alterations, unique in jacket brands.

Importantly, we take time to tailor exceptional fabrics that drape flatteringly, not suck around the bits you didn't want to accentuate.

We make you look manly, in a "I want to feel good, but not look like I'm trying too hard" way.

WHEN SHOULD I ORDER?

The short answer is always as soon as you can.

We're booking production space and getting fabric made twelve months before they've even been made.

Options gradually run out as we tick down from 12 months ahead to the arrival date.

If you see gaps in the options of colour/size, etc, that's an alarm bell.

Nice jacket

Was sceptical about ordering my first jacket but managed to try one and the fit and quality are outstanding. I was then checking online at stock left and saw this in my size. When delivered great fit love it, can’t wait for the next ones to arrive. Use the size guide online and buy something that makes you look good.

Superb jacket and service

I purchased this jacket after contacting FRAHM and seeing if they could get the jacket sent out, if in stock with very short notice to going on a trip. It arrived in time and didn't disappoint,it is so well made and the insulation quality held up in sub zero temperatures.The jacket does not have that cheap shiny look and the branding is nicely understated . The only fault I can find is that FRAHM jackets should come with a warning ,as once worn they can become very addictive and the need to get another one can harm your bank balance.

Exceeded expectations.

Bought this during the archive sale for a trip to Vienna. Absolutely worth every penny, incredibly warm, fits perfectly, way more stylish than any common puffer jacket.

My only complaint is that the outside zipper pocket doesn't fit my phone. (Fits a wallet and keys absolutely fine)
