Intro from Nick Hussey, founder & designer:
Me in my French blue Lightweight Worker's Jacket
In July 2018 I launched FRAHM with the Utility Field Jacket. In 2020 FRAHM now offers eleven limited edition styles. We make one parcel of each, once a year. I do everything from design to packing them, so with coronavirus pushing even more styles into Autumn drops, I’ve got a very busy Autumn ahead!
As ever, in order to secure the size and colour you want, you need to pre-order, as most variations are gone by the time they arrive (many have already sold out) and then the price goes back to normal.
To help, here’s my summary of every style. They’re all built with versatility, real world scenarios & classic style in mind. Each jacket is focussed differently, so they don’t overlap.
I put my heart & soul into every design, drove a few people crazy endlessly researching fabrics & tweaking fit. All I ever want is to make the best garments possible, that work AND look great. I am always overjoyed to see your reviews backing this up.
Price notes:
- £10 of each jacket sold goes to Mind, the mental health charity.
- Everyone gets free shipping.
- All prices are UK/EU, as we must charge 20% sales tax, or VAT.

- Range of use: April - October as outer. All year as layer or indoors.
- Focus: A light, very comfortable, warm weather/workplace outer/anytime layer, that’s creaseproof with loads of storage.
- What I made it for: An easy throw-on that stays smart outdoors or for the studio, as a layer under heavier FRAHM jackets.
___
Classic Harrington Jacket
Quick espresso & Northern Soul
- £345. Currently £270, as you save £70 by pre-ordering.
- Status: Arriving August.
- Range of use: March - November.
- Focus: Lighter & softer than the Harrington Racer, for warmer weather. Mild to warm weather smart casual urban jacket with machine washable showerproofing.
- What I made it for: The original Harrington style is a stone-cold classic. So rather than altering a timeless winner, I’ve gone for subtly improving its quality & performance.
___
Stretch Denim Workshirt
Edit deadline & lazy picnic
- £125. Currently £100, as you save £25 by pre-ordering.
- Status: Arriving August.
- Range of use: All year, as
- Focus: Versatile overshirt with stretch for comfortable movement, any time of year as layer or outer.
- What I made it for: Much as I love denim, I get annoyed it’s not comfortable for stuff like using a keyboard (tight elbows!) or bending over to remove thorns from your dog. So I changed that, adding some design tweaks like hand pockets. Got to have a place for your hands.
___
Utility Field Jacket
Dog walk & Sunday lunch
- £395. Currently £316, as you save £79 by pre-ordering.
- Status: Arriving late August.
- Range of use: All year, in Britain's changeable weather. Rain resistant but not for heavy rain. Room for layers in Winter.
- Focus: Lightweight, lots of storage, machine washable wax, with maximum utility in different environments and weather.
- What I made it for: The original and our most beloved design. I created it to be the one you always pick up as you leave the house. A tough military style that's subtle yet smart with as wide a use as possible in our delightfully (cough) unpredictable British weather.
___
Lightweight Tartan Workshirt
Dawn coffee & campfire sausages
- £125. Currently £100, as you save £25 by pre-ordering.
- Status: Arriving September.
- Range of use: All year, as throw-on outer in warm weather or later in the cold.
- Focus: Soft, versatile, casual overshirt with hand pockets.
- What I made it for: I love the concept of lumberjack shirts, but they tend to be unflattering and scratchy. This extremely soft yet tailored. Wear for everything that isn’t formal, from watching the rugby to tending campfires.
___
Limited Edition Camouflage Field Jacket
Trout fishing & guitar thrashing
- £425. Currently £340, as you save £85 by pre-ordering.
- Status: Arriving late August.
- Range of use: September - May, in changeable weather. Rain resistant but not for heavy rain. Room for layers in Winter.
- Focus: The Camo uses a heavier British Millerain washable waxed twill fabric than our original Utility Field, so it is more water resistant and a bit warmer.
- What I made it for: Honestly, this is something I made purely because I love the fabric so much. It has a very tough, almost armoured feel. I’ll be wearing it to meetings, you might prefer it for stalking deer or hiding from the paparazzi.
___
Waterproof City Coat
Architect's luncheon & boardroom discussion
- £495. Currently £396, as you save £99 by pre-ordering.
- Status: Arriving September.
- Range of use: All year, in high winds and torrential rain. Room for layers in Winter.
- Focus: A very tough, creaseproof mac that fits over a suit or layers, to protect the user from the heaviest rain.
- What I made it for: I wanted to make the best city waterproof out there, that gets you to that vital meeting intact, despite torrential rain. If you’re going to invest money in a smart, long coat for work, it MUST last and stay smart. Sadly, most aren’t even waterproof, let alone long-lasting. So I amped everything up to 11 with this. You can convert it into a very smart dry-weather collared coat by removing the hood. Unusually for it's smartness, it's bombproof and excellent for hacking through brambles - if you dare!

Woodland Worker’s Jacket
Frosty logging & apple bobbing
- £345. Currently £276, as you save £69 by pre-ordering.
- Status: Arriving September.
- Range of use: September - May. Room for layers in Winter.
- Focus: A tougher cool weather jacket that can be used in Winter with heavier layers. Water resistant in all but heavy persistent rain.
- What I made it for: I wanted an even tougher, more 'armoured' jacket for hacking through thorns, that could take riskier outdoor work, whilst retaining comfort, structure & looks. Based on the Lightweight Worker's Jacket but beefed up considerably, this is a warmer jacket that the Utility Field, with more North American style cues.
___
Ventile Thermal Field Jacket
Cold seaspray & fresh rockfall
- £595. Currently £476, as you save £119 by pre-ordering.
- Status: Arriving October.
- Range of use: October - April, particularly deep Winter or cold nights. Very windproof and fully waterproof in heavy rain.
- Focus: Fully waterproof, thermally protective, with a lot of storage & adjustability.
- What I made it for: Thermal jackets aren't often that smart, and often lack storage. I wanted to take the winning Utility Field design and make it suitable for bad weather conditions, but with natural fabrics - cotton Ventile and new wool. It's longer, with big zips for a very 'chunk' but tailored style. I'm extremely proud of it.
___
Thermal Military Parka
Glacier view & frosty towpath
- £695. Currently £556, as you save £139 by pre-ordering.
- Status: Arriving late November
- Range of use: October - March, particularly deep Winter, frost, snow & cold nights. Most rain & snow resistant.
- Focus: Sub-zero protection in very bad weather, without shiny, noisy, weak synthetic materials.
- What I made it for: It should be beating all comers - the big name parkas that don't live up to their hype or price tags. Something truly tough, detailed & unique.
