Size & Fit Guide

FRAHM jackets are cut for real men's bodies and action. We've subtly altered classic tailoring for more movement, for real life. Our jackets do not have a restrictive teenage 'fashion' cut.

Size Chart:

HOW TO FIT YOURSELF

Size by your actual body measurements, not copying your size in another brand. Fit can vary wildly between brands and their size may not be ours.

HEIGHT: This is the easy one – measure yourself from the top of your head to your heel. (Sometimes easier to do against a wall we find.)

CHEST: To find out your chest size, take a tape measure and wrap it under your armpits at the fullest part of your chest.

ARM: Measure from the shoulder seam to the bony bit on your wrist (yes, that is the biological term).

If you can't measure your chest circumference, the best guide to size is your best fitting existing jacket or suit jacket. Then Live Chat us and we can advise what your size is.

"Tall" sizes are for very tall men, offering exactly the same jacket with significantly longer arms and torso. Don't buy one if you're above average - our standard sizes will fit.

If you have shorter arms, we will happily have your sleeves shortened from a minimum of 3cm for you when possible (most of the time it is). Typically alterations take 3 - 4 weeks.

If you have any questions please do Live Chat or email us on hello@frahmjacket.com

Lumberjack jackets don't really live up to their name. They're usually made with soft, very tearable fabric that will ruin quickly. I wanted to make a really tough cool weather jacket that you could scrape against a ragged broken branch without any effect, that was smart without being showy.

Based on the hugely popular Lightweight Worker’s Jacket, this is a heavier weight worker’s coat to combat cool and mixed British conditions and gloaming pine forests. You could call it a trucker jacket too.

The outer fabric is a heavier weight washable waxed fabric than our Field Jacket and Harrington jackets - from British Millerain in Rochdale, Lancashire, of course. No need to reproof even after years of machine washes.

Woodland

My normal sizing is XL or 56 Eur. I ordered 2XL in green, with the option of layering depending on weather. I felt it was definitely one size short for l that notion
Not a problem as I gave it to my brother who was absolutely delighted.
I ordered another one in 3XL , and it was spot on
So impressed that I got the black and camo
I will say that on receiving the first one, the quality and durable feeling of the material was apparent
I did not speak to FRAHM before ordering first one, which in hindsight I should have
But it worked out well in the end, especially for my brother who got his for free!!!!!
And yes I have had compliments which is another good sign, but you should know in yourself that when clothing is quality, but more importantly looks good on you
Recommend woodland for casual or even smasual!!!

Superb tough jacket

I've had the jacket for about 6 months now. Still looks as good as the day it arrived. Bombproof. When worn with a warm jumper will definitely suffice when the mercury drops!

Looks great but..

First of all let me say I have totally bought into the Frahm brand, Nick’s no BS approach, your ethos, your ads, etc. I even invested a little in your crowdfunds.
I have lusted after your jackets for ages and finally took the plunge during your sample sale.
The waxed woodland workers jacket in Navy looks the business and is great for work wear on a gloomy day. The quality is evident everywhere and it feels great on.
But some niggles: it’s snug (though not tight) so only a thin jumper can be worn which is a problem as it’s not a warm jacket so no use on a cold day. It’s also maybe an inch or two too short for my taste. And the external pockets aren’t accommodating enough so everything gets stuffed into the internal ones.
Regardless I already have my eye on 2 more jackets so I’m not put off. I’m even considering another woodland workers jacket, in green, though will try a size up next time.

My second woodland worker's jacket

I liked the first one that much I got another in a different colour.
Until I discovered Frahm it never occurred to me that I 'needed' more than one or two jackets. I won't admit how many I now have in case my wife reads this review (but I'm into double figures - plus a lined Harrington on pre-order).

Good reason for a 2nd purchase

This was my second purchase after a utility field jacket and it never disappoints. A bit more rugged, it works well with boots and jeans. Also good to put the gilet underneath when more warmth required. While a utility field jacket is practical the woodland worker is just a bit more stylish - we all need a second Frahm after all! As a 40” chest size large works perfectly.
