The FRAHM Lightweight Worker’s Jacket is a detailed, wonderfully comfortable - yet tough throw-on casual option for Spring, Summer,  early Autumn and indoors.

The option of choice for the artist or workshop dweller, a Chore Coat, French Worker’s Jacket, or Work Shirt is a must have for the warmer months and work indoors.

As ever, we’ve taken a classic style and augmented it. The brushed Italian fabric is a tough ripstop that is somehow also crease resistant, showerproof and cool against the skin.

There are pockets galore, with two main lower cargo pockets, with hand pockets behind (it drives its nuts not to have anywhere to put hands). Add in a buttoned chest pocket, with a zipped chest pocket opposite it.

We have paid particular attention to the buttons. These are real horn, brushed for a wonderful hand feel. The thread is triple woven through to a smaller holding button to the rear, with the thread then bound around the button at it’s centre to create an extremely tough and long lasting natural fixing. These buttons will not be falling off.

There button cuffs with two widths to select, a short casual collar that can be turned up if desired, and red seam bindings within. As ever we use heavy duty twin needle stitching to add longevity.

This is a jacket to be worked: spattered with oil paints, grabbed from a pub bench and thrown on as the sun goes down or to smarten up a Summer work outfit.

Weather range, with t-shirt from 10c to 24c - mild to warm days, wind & light showers. Or use as layer under heavier jacket in cold weather.

£10 from each jacket sold will be donated to Mind mental health charity.

Wonderful piece of clothing somewhere between jacket and shirt

I pre-ordered Lightweight Worker's jacket in french blue. I'm 38" chest with quite an average bodytype. Size M is just perfect, not slim, not loose, just right. I was little bit worried about the color being too "blue" if it makes sense, but the french blue strikes a perfect balance between bright bold colour and nothing too crazy.

What I had in mind when buying, was something between light jacket and overshirt that would work indoors in office environment. The Frahm does that just perfectly. It's the right choice for those temperatures when your wondering if you should go with jacket or something lighter, the workers jacket is just right.

Fabric and finishes are top notch as I already anticipated from Frahm (already own a harrington). Overall just wonderful piece of clothing that I'm sure will see load of use.

Surpassed expectations

Ok so I have the Field jacket, 2 Harrington’s and a MAC with a V on it so it wasn’t the quality that I was unsure of. It was the style, I’d seen the V version and never got round to buying it. I figured if I didn’t like the styling on then I could sell it and probably lose nothing (pre-order deal).

I shouldn’t have been concerned, it’s amazing. It takes a dad bod and hides it in an very mod way.

I’ve warn it buttoned up, open, collar up, down in rain, in sunshine and it’s great.

Thanks Nick for another masterpiece. Note I am not buying the city jacket, I am not buying the city jacket, if I repeat this enough maybe it’ll come true.

Another excellent jacket.....

Had my Lightweight Workers Jacket for a week now (and, no, I have not done any work during that time!!) - yet another truly excellent jacket from Frahm!! Firstly, sizing, for those looking to buy (and, don't hesitate, by the way!) - I'm 1.78m tall, 65kgs and the Small is a perfect fit, over a shirt/ t-shirt/ jumper (most of which have been needed during a typical British summer weather week - and it's exactly that weather that the jacket ticks all the boxes for - already been "caught out" by 3 torrential downpours this past week and the jacket has held them off... like the Harrington I own, the fabric is, once again, somewhat "magical" - really nice "handle" as I believe the trade say, soft, not the least bit "crinkly" - I'd also say it's a darker navy than some of the on-line shots I've seen (more navy blue than French blue, which I prefer!!) - nice touches of red/ lining, subtly hidden chest zipper pocket and, best of all, the hidden hand warmer pockets - collar works well "standing up" too (not sure why but I always opt to stick the collar up on jackets/ coats (not suits, obviously, that would be a tad Miami Vice) - button cuffs work well - I have none-existent tiny cyclists wrists and the second button option snugs the sleeve ends down, yup, if you're looking and dithering, do not hesitate a moment longer, snap one up... one word from my wife....or several in fact - "..that's exactly the jacket I'm looking for, do they do a women's fit..." - well...???
